Review from Triathlon Plus : Glasses Grouptest - July 2010 | Rating: | MADISON'S CHEAP and cheerful protective glasses set ticks all the basic boxes. The grey finish is utilitarian, but styled on Oakley's M frames. Triangular arms clip in and out, so can be snapped off accidentally. Snap-lock lens fitting is easy and clear, and the orange tint lenses are good for night or darker day use. The three-lens (£29.99) set is better value if you stay in the UK. Weight is very low and fit is secure on average and larger heads, with a 10mm narrower 'compact' frame for skinny skulls. Physical protection is good, with little cheek or brow gap and a full wrap to the peripherals. Optics are adequate too, although they steam up and get blurry in rain quickly.

| Review from Triathlon Plus - Summer 2009 | Rating: Top Value | THIS HANDY set solves the which lenses do I need?' question by providing four types of glass from very dark for full-on glare to clear. The whole lot comes in a tough carry-case with soft case included. Lenses are simple to change, without the sensation they're about to break as you click them in or out, and the nose piece moves easily. Soft rubbery arms help grip your head, though fit was a bit baggy at the front for those with small faces and noses (Compact D'Arcs are available as a triple lens set, Product Code CK5201 - Ed.). For everyone else though these will easily transfer to the run. Peripheral vision is brilliant, as the one-piece lenses wrap right around. | |
